What kind of mental health issues or conditions do you work with?
Each of our psychologists have their own area of training and education, so they will each have varying areas of expertise. However, generally speaking our psychologists work with individuals with issues including; Addictions, AD/HD, Anger, Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Eating Disorders, Grief and Loss, Obsessions and Compulsions, Health Issues and Pain, Phobias, Self-Esteem, Sleep problems, Social Anxiety, Stress and feeling overwhelmed, substance use, Trauma and more. How do I get Bulk-Billed Sessions?
To access bulk-billed appointments, you do need to have a Medicare card and a valid Medicare Mental Health Care Plan.
What kind of mental health clinicians are part of the team?
At The Simple Psychologist, we only use registered psychologists and psychologists with an area of endorsement to provide services. That way, services are eligible to be bulk billed or subsidised by Medicare.
We do not have any counsellors or therapists on our team that are not otherwise registered as AHPRA clinicians.
Can I use Private Health Insurance?
Possibly. Certain insurance funds will provide rebates for psychology and counselling services. However, this will depend on your private insurance policy, so it is best to check with your insurance provider.
